The Chaos of the Cluckin’ Bell Speedrun: A Careless Session Recap

The Chaos of the Cluckin’ Bell Speedrun: A Careless Session Recap

If there’s one thing we learned from this week’s stream, it’s that the line between a "speedrun" and a "careless bungle" is razor-thin.

We set out with a simple goal: conquer the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid solo and do it fast. What we got was a masterclass in improvising through technical glitches, "pork chop" insults from NPCs, and the ever-present stress of the Los Santos police force.

The Calm Before the Cluckin’ Storm

The evening started on a high note. Fueled by a solid dinner of curried sausages (shoutout to the fruit chutney), we dove straight into the first mission: Slush Funds. We tore through the dirty money stash in under eight minutes. The rhythm was there, the energy was high, and the "speedrun" dream was very much alive.

Then, the game decided to humble us.

The Great Initialization Glitch

After clearing the first stage, the mission marker simply... vanished. We were stuck in a loop of waiting for Vincent to call, standing awkwardly in the street while the clock ticked away. This is the reality of live streaming—sometimes you’re fighting the cartel, and sometimes you’re fighting the game code.

After some quick live troubleshooting and a session hop, we finally got back on track. It wasn't the "pro status" we aimed for, but we adapted and kept the wheels turning.

High Stakes and Heavy Bumbles

The middle missions were a blur of cinematic moments and near-disasters:

  • The Hacking Hustle: We retrieved the tech from the Terrorbyte and secured the train, though the driving was... let’s call it "experimental."
  • The "Careless" Spin: During the getaway vehicle prep, a minor driving mishap sent us into a tailspin that cost us precious minutes. If you’re going to be careless, you might as well do it with style, right?
  • Weaponry & Wardrobe: We grabbed our gear and the iconic Cluckin' Bell uniform, but not without alerting every guard in the vicinity.

"I’ve never had to do this... this is why I don’t know. This is really a careless Cluckin’ session, am I right?"

The Final Raid: Sweaty Palms and Failing Binds

By the time we hit the factory at 8:04 PM, the "speed" part of the run had evolved into a "fast-ish run." The finale was pure adrenaline. Between the high-intensity firefight in the warehouse and a momentary lapse where my controller binds decided to quit on me, it was easily the sweatiest part of the night.

We fought our way to the safe, hacked the connections (shoutout to that 5128 code), and made a break for the getaway car. The escape was a chaotic chase through the hills, dodging helicopters and Los Santos' finest, until we finally smelled the "sweet scent of success."

The Final Tally

We crossed the finish line at 1 hour and 20 minutes.

    • Goal: Sub-1 hour.
    • Result: A half-million in the bank and a lot of laughs.

It wasn't a world record, but it was a GGXCO classic. We learned that even when the game glitches and the cars spin out, you just have to keep your head down and finish the job.
