From Zero to Hero: Level 100 and Gerald’s Last Play
Share
If there’s one thing you learn quickly in Los Santos, it’s that "casual" is a relative term.
In our latest stream, we officially kicked off the Careless Gerald Sessions. After wrapping up the chaos of the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid, it felt like the perfect time to head back to where it all began—the hood. We took on Gerald’s Last Play missions for the very first time, and let’s just say, things got "sweaty" faster than a sprint across the Diamond Casino floor.
The Debut of the Face Cam
Before we even put the key in the ignition, we had a major milestone for the GGXCO community: the debut of the face cam! It’s been a long time coming, and while I’m still ironing out the technical kinks (shoutout to the Sony ZV10 for holding it down at 720p), it felt great to finally show my "old mug" to the chat. We’ve got a capture card on the way to hit that crisp 1080p, but for now, it’s all about the gameplay and the connection.
The "Placebo" Armor and Level 100
Hitting Level 100 is a big deal in GTA Online. It finally unlocks that sweet, sweet 100% vehicle armor. Naturally, I spent the first five minutes of the stream talking about how prepared I was, only to realize mid-mission that I hadn't actually visited Los Santos Customs to apply it.
We went into the first mission, "End of the Line," with standard plates and a dream. The raid on Raven’s Slaughterhouse was a wake-up call. Note to self: when a gang boss is involved, they are rarely "chill."
Notable Moments: Mission Highlights
The stream was packed with highlights, but a few stand out as pure Careless Session gold:
- The Master Safe Cracker: In a moment of pure fluke (or hidden talent), we cracked the mission safe on the first attempt. I’ve never used that mechanic before, and honestly, don't ask me to remember those numbers—they’re gone.
- The Warehouse Escape: During the second mission, "Go Figure," we found ourselves with zero lives left. The escape from the warehouse was a masterclass in "weaving" through traffic and praying the Enus Paragon R could take the heat.
- The Turbo Tune: After successfully earning some credibility with Gerald, we finally kitted out our mission car. The new turbo tune doesn't just add acceleration; it adds that perfect, techy whistle to the exhaust that makes every getaway feel like a movie scene.
What’s Next for GGXCO?
This stream wasn't just about the missions; it was about the growth of the channel. We talked a lot about the future of our content:
- YouTube Shorts: I’m officially diving into Shorts! I’ve been experimenting with editing on my Samsung Tab S11 Ultra using LumaFusion. Keep an eye out for high-velocity highlight dumps coming soon.
- Long-Form Breakdowns: We’re looking at creating more palatable, edited versions of these VODs for those who can’t catch the full live sessions.
Stay Golden
Whether you were there in the chat or you're watching the VOD after the fact, I appreciate you joining this journey. Los Santos is a wild place, but it’s a lot better with the crew behind me.
If you haven't checked out the full "Gerald’s Last Play" playthrough yet, you can watch the raw, sweaty footage right here.
Don’t forget to subscribe, like the video, and as always—stay golden.
