Careless Gerald Sessions #002: Leveling Up and Dealing With It

Careless Gerald Sessions #002: Leveling Up and Dealing With It

Welcome back to the GGXCO blog. If you missed the live action on Wednesday, you missed a "sweaty" journey through the heart of Los Santos that saw us hitting a major milestone and surviving some of the most "bungled" tactical situations yet. From random matchmaking mishaps to high-altitude collectibles, Careless Sessions #002 was all about the grind.

The Accidental Duo: A Matchmaking Bungle

We kicked off the stream with a bit of a surprise. Despite the intention to keep these contact missions solo for now, a matchmaking glitch threw us into a lobby with a random player. What followed was a 10-minute masterclass in "carrying," as we tackled a mission we’d already completed while our teammate... well, let’s just say they were mostly there for moral support. It cost us some snacks and armor, but it set the tone for the night: expect the unexpected.

Bad Companies & The Hunt for Plastic Gold

Once we got back on track, we dived into the Bad Companies mission. This wasn't just about the gunplay; it turned into a scavenger hunt that tested both our patience and our "core strength".

  • Construction Site Chaos: We tracked a van to Little Seoul and ended up in a massive shootout at a construction site.

  • The Action Figure Grind: The mission required us to find seven hidden action figures. Finding the final one involved scaling the steel framework of the building.

  • A "Solid" Milestone: Balancing on a narrow beam to grab that final collectible was a highlight, proving that even "careless" gameplay requires a bit of finesse.

Major Milestone: Level 101 Officially Logged

The highlight of the night came shortly after the Deal With It mission. After surviving waves of enemies—and running completely out of incendiary rounds—we saw the magic words on screen. Rank 101 is officially in the books! Moving past the triple digits feels like a massive win for the GGXCO community, especially considering the "careless" nature of our tactical decisions.

Dealing With It: The Great Police Escape

The finale of the gameplay session was a tense standoff in the Deal With It mission.

  • The Setup: We had to destroy evidence at a crime scene right under the noses of the LSPD.

  • The Tactic: A perfectly timed sticky bomb throw cleared the evidence, but it left us with a 3-star wanted level.

  • The Chase: Using the modded Enus Paragon R, we "weaved" through traffic and dipped into the side streets of Vinewood to lose the heat. It was a heart-pounding moment that reminded us why we upgraded the armor in the first place.

What’s Next? The Finale Approaches

We’ve now cleared 4 out of the 6 "Gerald's Last Play" missions. We are officially in the home stretch.

  • Next Stream: Monday, May 11th.

  • Time: 7:00 PM AEST.

  • The Goal: Completing the final two missions and closing the book on this chapter of the Careless Sessions.

We’ll be hitting the pull-up bar and the crunch mat until then to keep those strength stats rising. See you on Monday for the finale!

Stay golden.
