Blog Post: Careless Cayo Sessions #007 – The $1M Hour Challenge

The Goal: $1,000,000 in 60 Minutes

Welcome back to the GGXCO community! For our seventh installment of Careless Cayo Sessions, we set the stakes higher than ever: a complete run of the Cayo Perico heist—from the first setup mission to the final getaway—in under one hour. While this heist has been a staple of Los Santos for years, tackling it in 2026 with a "careless" flair always brings its own set of unique challenges.

Phase 1: The Setup & Intel

Efficiency is the name of the game when the clock is ticking. We kicked things off by fast-traveling the Kosatka to the northern edge of the map to secure the smuggler’s plane.

  • The "Careless" Door: In classic fashion, we struggled with the Velum door. It’s a small detail, but when you're aiming for a speed run, every second spent watching your character fumble with a latch feels like an eternity.
  • The Scope Out: Fortune favored us this session. We identified the Bear Bonds as our primary objective and quickly spotted enough secondary loot (grass and cash) at the North Dock to fill the bags without needing to scout the entire island.
  • Quick Maths: We breezed through the signal box hack, proving that even under pressure, the GGXCO "quick maths" remain top-tier.

Phase 2: Tactical Preparations

To keep the run "GTA Native" (playing like a beginner without the flying bikes or fancy gadgets), we focused on the essentials.

  • Weaponry: We hit the Schlongberg Sachs building for our unmarked weapons. Pro-tip for those following along: if the game sends you to the Merryweather HQ for weapons, just find a new session and restart the mission—it’s a massive time-saver.
  • The Cutting Torch: A quick trip to a construction site secured our entry tool. We even took a moment to perform an unofficial workplace health and safety inspection on a rogue wheelbarrow—it failed.
  • Fingerprint Cloner: We infiltrated a small warehouse to grab the cloner, maintaining a silent profile to keep the heat off.

Phase 3: The Finale – Elite Challenge Attempt

With the setups finished, we dove into the Pacific. Entering through the drainage pipe remains the most efficient route.

  • The Stealth Approach: This session was surprisingly "chill." We navigated the compound like a "sneaky little mouse," avoiding the heavy gunfights that usually define our "sweaty" sessions.
  • The Payoff: After cracking the safe and securing the bonds, we swam for the horizon. No rebreathers, no problem—just pure swimming efficiency.
  • The Results: We cleared the heist finale in 12 minutes and 29 seconds, hitting the Elite Challenge and bagging a total of $1.1 Million.

The Final Verdict

We finished the entire operation in 1 hour and 6 minutes. While we technically missed the one-hour goal by 360 seconds, the run was a massive success in terms of profit and technique. As I always say, once you have your assets like the Sparrow and the Kosatka in place, the heist gets quicker, you get better, and the bank account gets bigger.

What’s Next for GGXCO?

I’m currently working on a massive content dump for this weekend, featuring edited highlights from our recent streams to bring some high-production quality to the channel. Stay tuned for a brand-new series announcement coming by the end of the week!

Stay Golden.
